Lucy Azatyan (1995) is a visual artist born in Armenia and based in the Netherlands. She completed a Bachelor's degree in Photography (2024) at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht.
With a background in both artistic practice and commercial photography, Lucy combines a strong eye for visual storytelling with technical production skills. She has experience across photography, videography, editing, and content creation, working with fashion brands, cultural institutions, and independent projects.
As a Content Creator, she develops concepts, plans and executes shoots, and delivers engaging photo and video content for websites, campaigns, and social media. She enjoys turning ideas into strong visuals that help brands and organizations connect with their audiences.

Awards
Keep An Eye Stipend, Winner 2024
Her graduation project, Echoes of Home, was awarded the 2024 Keep an Eye Foundation Award for its unique visual and narrative style. The jury praised her ability to go beyond traditional conventions, using a poetic visual language that is both aesthetically and emotionally compelling. As part of the Keep an Eye Photography Stipend, Lucy received a grant of €10,000, including mentorship support, to further develop her artistic practice. This recognition highlights her commitment to storytelling through photography and film, and her continued exploration of cultural narratives.
Lucy Azatyan was awarded the HKU Award, one of the most prestigious recognitions at the HKU University of the Arts. Each winner receives a €5000 prize, acknowledging exceptional creativity, innovation, and artistic achievement.
